So you are looking for a targeting setup for close-quarters shooting? Well, you cannot go wrong with a red dot or reflex sight. But you probably don’t want to spend a fortune on a red dot sight.

Well, neither do I, so I decided to scour the red dot market in search of the best red dot sight under 100 dollars. I used a bunch of red dot sights during my search and came up with a list of 8. These are the ones that really impressed me.

Let’s get into it, shall we?

But before we get into the review, which is my top pick among the eight? You may be wondering. Well, if I had to pick, I would go with the Feyachi RS-30 simply because of its wide field of view.

At number two, I picked the Predator V2 Reflex Sight, which also had an impressively wide field of view.

However, after testing every sight on this list, I can confidently recommend all of them.

Reviews of The Best Red Dot Sight Under 100 and 150 USD

Feyachi RS-30: Best Reflex Sight Under 100 Review

Feyachi RS-30 Reflex Sight, Multiple Reticle System Red Dot...

Honestly, the Feyachi RS-30 reflex sight is not what I was expecting at such a low price point. For a sight priced at less than 100, it has some impressive features. Let’s take a look at the standout features, shall we?

I had no trouble fitting this onto my AR-15 using a 20mm Picatinny rail, and based on my research, you should have no problems with a weaver rail. It is one of the great reflex sights for AR rifles.

The sight has 5 brightness levels, which is half the number of brightness levels you get on pricier models. But honestly, I think 5 brightness levels are just sufficient. The lowest brightness level is great for some low light action.

It has a 40 mm lens, which offers a decently wide field of view. Having used the likes of the Bushnell TRS-25, I found the RS-30 to have an impressive field of view. Switching between targets is quicker than with other sights I have used.

What I liked

  • It is easy to install
  • Features 5 brightness levels that make the reticle visible in virtually any light conditions
  • The 40 mm lens offers a wider field of view than most reflex sights.
  • Has one button to adjust brightness and turn the sight on and off
  • The lens is multi-coated to reduce glare.

What I did not like

  • The reticle sometimes appears as if it’s floating rather than fixed.
  • The reticle is slightly uneven.

Features

  • 40 mm reflex lens
  • Tubeless design
  • 5 brightness settings
  • 4 selectable reticles
  • Integrated mount

There is a lot I loved about the RS-30, but the one thing that got me to include it on the list is the wide field of view. It had one of the widest fields of view.

Predator V2 Reflex Sight

Predator V2 Reflex Sight | Combat Veteran Owned Company | 45...

Tacticon is a company that I have heard a lot about, it being a combat veteran-owned firm. So I was interested in trying out one of its products. And the product I decided to with was the Predator V2 Reflex sight.

It comes with four adjustable reticle designs. And the best part you can choose between red and green color for all reticle types. Thus, it can work in different light conditions effortlessly.

But what stood out for me was the parallax free design of the sight. Parallax is a problem I have encountered quite several times with budget reflex sights. So it is great to see that this 40 mm lens is parallax does not have the same problems.

Another great thing about this sight is that it is designed to work well with iron sights. The sight is waterproof and fog-proof, which is great for when the weather is not so friendly.

  • Comes with four adjustable reticles with two color variations for use in different light conditions

Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 : Best Red Dot Sight Under 100

Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 Red Dot Sight Riflescope, 1x25mm,...

What really surprised me about this Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 sight is its glass quality. While it cannot match that of pricier models, the images appear clear and sharp for a red dot sight in this price range. And I was even more surprised by its performance when I attached it to a .308 autoloader. I was curious to see if it could handle the recoil. And as you might have guessed it maintained its zero, which was impressive.

The red dot on this sight is clear and has no distortions. Thus you will not have any trouble aiming at targets.

Bushnell TRS-25 comes with 1X magnification it ensures you to get a clear picture of your target without the field of view being interfered with.

Feyachi RS-28 Reflex sight

Feyachi Reflex Sight - Adjustable Reticle (4 Styles) Both...

The Feyachi RS-28 is the RS-30’s smaller brother. It sports a 33 mm lens while maintaining the same 5 brightness settings as the RS-30. I was keen to see how this sight would compare to its counterpart.

You can choose between 4 reticle settings, each with the option of either red or green. Though this is standard for most reflex sights in this price range, it is still good to have.

When paired with the five brightness levels, you can use the sight in virtually any light condition. It is also parallax corrected, which is something I always want to see on a reflex sight. The ey-relief is also great.

There is a rail attachment system that you can use to attach the sight onto your rifle or shotgun. Also, this reflex sight comes with a CR 2032 Battery included in the package.

What I liked

Sightmark Ultra Shot R-Spec Reflex Sight

The Sightmark ultra shot R-spec is a scope I hold in high regard. This is a sight that manages to pack features found in pricier models into a budget package.

A single CR123A battery powers this reflex sight. But the best part is that it can for up to 200 hours. More importantly, it comes with four reticle types that you can choose from, either green or red illumination.

When it comes to brightness settings, this reflex sight ups the ante by having ten brightness settings. This is something I would have expected from a pricier model, not a sub-100 reflex sight.

The lens is coated with a scratch-resistant coating to protect it from damage. It also features a low battery indicator to alert you when the battery is low.

  • 23mm lens

CVLIFE 1X22X33 Red Green Dot Gun Sight

CVLIFE 1X22X33 Red Green Dot Gun Sight Scope Reflex Sight...

Compact and powerful, these are two words I can use to describe the CVLIFE 1x22x33 gun sight. It has a premium look that you would associate more with higher-priced sights.

One of the standout things of this sight is its mounting versatility. It can be mounted on either a Picatinny, RIS, or Weaver rail. This means you can use it on a wide variety of firearms.

As with the other options on the list, you get four reticle settings with this unit. The four settings are coupled with a red/green dot configuration. Thus you can choose to use either the red or green option.

The 33 mm lens gives you a field of view of 8 ft at 100 yards. This is quite decent and should give you ample room to pick out targets quickly.

  • The battery life of this option is fantastic and can last up to a year.
  • It features parallax correction and a good eye relief.
  • Constructed from an aluminum alloy, it is lightweight and tough.

DDHB Red Dot Reflex Sight

DD DAGGER DEFENSE A Veteran Owned Company, The DDHB Red Dot...

The DDHB red dot reflex sight is another reflex sight manufactured by a combat veteran-owned company. So how does it perform?. I got a chance to put it to its paces, and I have to say it is quite a surprising package.

You get the usual red and green illuminated reticle, which you can switch between the two. Also, you get the standard four reticle options, which you choose to use with either red or green illumination.

This reflex sight held zero very well even after firing several shots downrange. Also, it was ready to use the right of the box. There were minimal adjustments I had to make when, after taking it out of its packaging.

When it comes to mounting on different weapons, I found it to be easy and quick. It can be mounted onto a Picatinny rail on a pistol but can also go onto a rifle.

What I liked

  • The reticle is easy to focus on, given its on the same focal plane as the target.
  • Features reduced parallax for quick target acquisition.
  • It is easy to install and can be used on different firearms.
  • Overall the sight is lightweight and tough.

There are 1 MOA windage and elevation adjustments with an audible click. You also get 6 MOA dots. And when you first purchase it, it will come with a Picatinny mounting plate for mounting; this makes it easy to mount onto your handgun.

For rifle users, this one can work as a great secondary sighting setup. When you want to remove the battery, you do not need to remove the sight.

  • The reflex sight is compatible with most handguns.
  • The sight is waterproof and can be immersed in up to 4 ft of water for 30 minutes.

How To Find The Best reflex sight under 100 or 150 dollars: Buying Guide

There are plenty of reflex sights in the sub-100 price point that is just a waste of time and money. So how can you identify the Best red dot sight under 100? Well, there are several things you need to consider; these are;

Brightness

You probably want to use your reflex sight for hunting as well as for practicing your aim on the range. That being said, you will need a red dot sight that can perform during the day in bright sunlight and at dawn or dusk in low light.

Here is where brightness levels come in. The best reflex sight under 100 dollars will often have at least five brightness settings. This allows you to adjust the brightness of the sight, depending on the time of day.

Also, I personally recommend sights that are battery-powered. These offer improved brightness, and the CR2032 batteries most use can last you for almost a year.

Reticle illumination

Most reflex sights will feature multiple reticle types. This includes single dot, crosshairs, and bullseye type reticles. Being able to switch to different reticle types is essential; after all, we all have our preferred reticle types.

What is more important is the ability to change between red and green. Red reticles work best during the day while green works best in low light. Thus, being able to switch between the two colors gives you the flexibility to use the sight at different times of the day.

Compatibility

Reflex sights are designed for different types of guns; some are designed for handguns. Others are designed for AR 15 style rifles. It is important to know what kind of rifle a reflex sight is suited to before purchasing it.

Durability

How well a reflex sight performs will be determined largely by its ability to withstand harsh weather. Some of the best will be waterproof and fog proof. This is important if you want to take your sight out for hunting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Conclusion

To sum up, all the eight reflex sights I have reviewed above are great and should serve you well.  I picked them because of their features, performance, and construction. That being said, I hope you find a red dot sight that best suits you.
